We had three smooth days back. Now we have a full week and it is the last week of April. This year has gone by really fast. Enjoy every moment.
Please come to April Chat with Claire and PTA meeting on Tuesday at 5:30 pm. The topic is bias, come and talk. We have been having conversations as a full faculty and during Inclusion and Diversity Committee meetings. Come and join the conversation.

7th Graders and 4th graders presented at the District 3: Science expo this past Saturday. 7thgraders shared their physics science project on a straw rocket lab.

4th Graders: Celia, Megan, Avia and Yarden presented their sustainability project.
We are featured in Teaching Children Mathematics, the most broadly read journal for teachers of elementary-school mathematics. It's the cover article: "Math Madness: Coloring, Reasoning and Celebrating.” It's about an activity that a parent and teacher collaborated on in a second grade Math class at MSC. Save the Date: MSC Science Fair is coming, THURSDAY, May 25th 2017! The fair is a celebration of the science learning that’s going on in school as well as at home! We’ll have a school day session from 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm for students and teachers only, and an evening session from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm for students, families, friends and teachers.
All students will have a chance to participate in this lively, kid-centric event!
· K-4th graders will collaborate on class projects supported by their class teachers and/or science teacher Shakira Provasoli
· 5th through 8th graders will have independent or group projects supported by their respective science teachers Shakira Provasoli, Amy Barnard (6th grade) and Sharifa (8thgrade).
· Any student is welcome to work on additional team or individual projects.
Fill out the Science Fair Student Participation Form online. It is due on Monday, May 8th, 2017.
All schools are hosting evening family-teacher conferences in May. May 17th: K-5 and
May 18th: 6-8. Please schedule conferences with families of students of concern. Share a list of the students and families you have scheduled, and let me know if you would like Simira, Kerry or myself to attend.
K-5 3rd progress reports will be distributed to families this week. 6-8 3rd reports cards are being mailed home.
