First field trip Friday was a success! Classes visited the West Side Community Garden, NY Historical Society, Library, American Museum of Natural History and community building activities in Central Park. Thank you to all who volunteered to be a chaperone and class parents for helping organize! It was wonderful to see students, staff and families coming to school excited about the trip and then returning to school together laughing and happy.
From the Classroom: Wendy and I started our school wide Congress where two representatives from each class shared their classroom rules. The groups sorted and categorized key words and trends. We are meeting again on Tuesday (tomorrow) at 8:32 in the dance studio. It is so important that students have a voice in creating the rules and coming together as a whole school.

- As Halloween approaches, please remember, the MSC community has families from many different cultures and traditions. Some families in our school community do not celebrate holidays because of religious or cultural beliefs. Therefore, we do not celebrate holidays, or decorate the school or classrooms for holidays, nor do we hold holiday celebrations. Students should NOT wear costumes to school.
