There are still a few more spots in this weekend's fabric and paper dying workshop!
ITAJIME SHIBORI (JAPANESE DYE ART) FAMILY WORKSHOP
Discover the colorful world of Itajime Shibori—the Japanese art of paper & fabric dyeing. MSC parent and educator Gina Gold leads parents and kids on a magical journey of folding, clamping, and dyeing paper & fabric. Create beautiful designs while learning about the concepts of diffusion and color mixing. You will leave the workshop with ideas on how to use Itajime Shibori to create books, cards, lamps, and other items. Saturday, May 9, 1 – 3 pm. MSC Art Room. Limit: 15
It's the Last Bakesale of the School Year and we need to make it really count more than ever. Let's get the MSC community together and have our children join in and create greater social awareness through our efforts. We did it for Sandy, Haiti and Japan, now let's do it for our friends in Nepal.
It's a time for us to reflect on how fortunate we all are. We are researching several different grass roots organizations to donate all or a portion of monies raised. Should anyone have ideas or contacts, please email Sloane37@aol.com.

All items can be left outside the administrative office on the 5th floor beginning Thursday, May 14 th at drop off. There will be mobile carts. We can take donations even when arriving to school to pick up your child during the sale.
If you bring an item that needs utensils, please include them in your donation, and please try and minimize the amount of plastic baggies used in packaging your items. If you can package items individually, that would be great. Otherwise we will take care of this at school.
(Please mark all containers with your name, floor, and room number and we will make every effort to return these to you.
The 7th and 8th graders have been rehearsing for the spring musical since February! They have been focused and dedicated and want to invite the MSC community to come see and celebrate all their hard work!
The evening performances are on May 15th and 16th at 6:30pm in the MSC auditorium. Your child will see the show during the school day, however, we want to encourage families of MSC to come out and support this school wide event. Soooo....
Mark your calendars and let’s fill the seats in support of our 7th and 8th graders!
Please be advised that every 15 days, we must clear the items in the Lost & Found box. All items are donated. Please come to the Main Office (Room 516) to claim any of your lost items. If your child has after-school, please check the lost & found box at the lobby near the Nurse's Office.
