School Leadership Team Seeks
Input on Cell Phone Policy
Based on changes in DOE policy, the SLT is soliciting parent comment on updating MSC's policy on use of cell phones & other electronic devices.  Please send any comments and suggestions to by Friday, Feb 13th. These will be shared with Claire, who will finalize the policy and communicate any changes in early March.

The current MSC policy on CELL PHONES AND ELECTRONIC DEVICES is as follows:
The DOE does not permit students to use these electronic devices in school. All electronic devices should be turned off and put in backpacks out of sight BEFORE students enter the school building. It is every teacher’s responsibility to ensure that all students in his/her class are aware of this rule. If cell phones or other electronic devices are used during the instructional day on school property, they should be confiscated and returned to student at end of day. If it becomes a pattern, please conference with student and family.
MSC parent Jessica Genick is offering our families the following Broadway ticket offer for THE HEIDI CHRONICLES:

WENDY WASSERSTEIN’s play THE HEIDI CHRONICLES, is still as rich and rewarding as it was when it first captivated Broadway and won the Pulitzer Prize, the Tony Award, the Drama Desk Award and the Outer Critics Circle Award. It is a comedy that follows the three-decade journey of Heidi Holland—a woman willing to do what it takes to take on the world. It’s a remarkable story of trial and triumph as she grows from an insecure girl brimming with hope into an accomplished woman still searching for truth.

Now a fresh, appealing, and marvelously talented ensemble, headed by Golden Globe winner ELISABETH MOSS (“Mad Men”), Emmy nominee JASON BIGGS (“Orange Is the New Black”), and Tony nominee BRYCE PINKHAM (A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder), brings this play about life, love, friendship and a changing world back to vivid theatrical life. Don’t miss the triumphant return of this award-winning masterpiece directed by Tony winner PAM MACKINNON (Edward Albee’s Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? and David Mamet’s forthcoming China Doll).
