Dear PS 333 Parents, Teachers, Community:
Happy summer everyone!
June has kept busy right till the end of the year. We had a wonderful harvest day where we made 2 more delicious salad dressings. We had such beautiful greens from the greenhouse as well as basil and oregano for the dressings. I heard so many adorable comments from the kids like: “I want to eat this for dinner every night” and “I want to lick this plate [with dressing] so badly.” The long awaited recipes are below. In the cafeteria, we had a delicious spring salad with cherry tomatoes, asparagus, cucumber, pea shoots, and lettuce in a balsamic vinaigrette. Delicious!
It has been such a wonderful year at 333 and I’ve enjoyed teaching and working with all of your children. I’ve learned so much from them and I hope they have picked up some cooking skills and new recipes from the WITS labs and electives. In the kitchen, we have made strides with salad bar in the classroom and more prepared salads in the cafeteria.
I hope you all have a wonderful and restful summer. I look forward to working more towards wellness at 333 next year.
