I am excited to share with you a new project and ask for your help!
Our mission is to build an inspirational, all-accessible, all-inclusive barrier free playground/outdoor space that is for children, and families of any age and ability. Our goal is to provide a vibrant common ground to enrich social skills through play, create friendships for a lifetime and promote the philosophy that children learn by doing. The MSC “Park Posse” has been diligently working on raising funds for the redesign of the backyard of the Joan of Arc complex.
This past fall, our Park Posse Ambassadors presented our “playground for all” to Helen Rosenthal, our District City Council Member, during her participatory budget hearings. Out of the hundreds of projects that were presented, our playground is one of the final fifteen projects that will potentially receive over a quarter of a million dollars in funding!
This is where you cone in. We must get out and vote for our playground!!
The week we get back to school, Monday April 13th through Sunday April 19th
Helen Rosenthal’s office will be hosting Project Expos at different locations around
District 6, where people can learn about the projects and vote for those that will be funded. Here is the link to the information on when, how, and where to vote: www.ps333.org/msc-park-posse/
We are also looking for volunteers to help lead groups of parents to the Project Expos.
If you are interested in being a group leader, or helping out in any way, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
Become part of the MSC Park Posse and help get the word out!
I have confidence that our community will come together to support what will be an amazing, inspirational outdoor space – a space that reflects the mission of our program and that will enrich the lives of all our children.
