Winter Dance Concerts!

The end of the first semester is approaching, and with it our semi-annual dance concerts! Below is a schedule of concert/open studio dates:

IN THE AUDITORIUM:

Thursday, February 5th  (8:30-9:30)

* Karen's 2nd grade ballet students will perform an excerpt from "The Nutcracker"
* Elizabeth's 2nd grade ballet students will perform an excerpt from "The Firebird"
* Pam's 4th grade jazz students will perform an excerpt from "The Pajama Game"
* Kristin's 4th grade jazz students will perform an excerpt from "The Drowsy Chaperone"
* Patti & Maureen's 4th grade jazz students will perform an excerpt from "Annie Get Your Gun"
* 5th and 6th grade jazz students from the Dance Elective will perform an excerpt from "Bye Bye, Birdie"

Please note that families will be asked to sit separate from the performers.  Rows will be reserved for students by class.  Any unreserved rows will be considered open seating for audience members, available on a first come, first serve basis, with limited seating in front for any member of our community who must watch the show from a wheelchair.

IN THE DANCE STUDIO:

On Friday, February 6th, the following classes will share the work inspired by their Lincoln Center Education study of Alberto Giacometti's "Three Men Walking II."

At 8:30 AM: Erica's first graders
At 8:50 AM: Alli's first graders

On Monday, February 9th, the following classes will share the work inspired by their Lincoln Center Education study of Ferdinand Leger's "Divers Blue and Black."

At 8:30 AM: Erica's first graders
At 8:50 AM: Alli's first graders

In order to deal with limited seating, families will be asked to only sit for their own child's performance as opposed to watching both.  Special arrangements may be made for any adult that needs extra support with mobility.

For all shows, please make sure that your child gets plenty of sleep the night before and is at school when the doors open at 8:15 so that we can start right on time.

We hope you can make it!
Join us Sunday, January 25th, for our 2nd Annual Broadway Loves MSC benefit.

Stars from Broadway shows (Wicked, Chicago, Mamma Mia and Cabaret) will light up the MSC stage with dancing and singing. Enjoy a great night of musical entertainment and raise money for our school!
