Our oldest son has hemophilia and we hope as many of you as possible can walk with Team MSC in the Hemophilia Walk on Sunday, June 1st, in Riverside Park at W. 83rd St, check-in (get your tie dye t-shirt) 9am, Walk starts 10am. It is really fun, quick and easy!
Hemophilia is a bleeding disorder which causes internal bleeding in any organ, joint or muscle. These bleeds can be life threatening and can cause painful and disabling joint damage. Current treatment for hemophilia is artificial clotting factor, which we give to our oldest son (an MSC alumni and his 3 younger siblings are at MSC) intravenously every single day to prevent bleeds and to treat bleeds when they occur.
Our family started the Hemophilia Walk in 2006 to raise awareness about bleeding disorders and raise money for better treatments and a cure. The support was so strong and inspiring, it has become a national Walk now taking place in 30 cities!
We hope you can Walk Team MSC. The more MSCers (students, parents, teachers, friends, grandparents, dogs…), the more fun! You can register and/or donate online at
http://tinyurl.com/teammsc or click on the link on the MSC website. The Walk is fun, easy and fast. There’s a 1 mile and 5K route. Both are accessible.

Thank you very much,
